The Premier of Western Province David Lani Gina has joined leaders across Solomon Islands sending a Congratulatory message to the newly elected Premier of Makira Province Julian Maka’a, on behalf of the people in the Western Province.
In his message he described the newly elected Premier as someone with a proper attitude and capacity taking on the helm of one of the country’s most respected Provinces in terms of leadership capacity.
In welcoming the new Premier, Gina said that Makira Province is always a model for the country in terms of leadership and fairness when it comes to important decisions.
“Makira is one Province that has always made differences not only in politics only, but also in economic and sports development,’’ he said.
Premier Gina adds Western and Makira Provinces have a good cordial relationship that has long existed between them.
Maka’a outclassed his only rival and veteran politician, Jackson Sunaone during polling on Friday morning.
Coming from a Radio Background with Qualifications attained during his time with the national broadcaster SIBC, Maka’a also served in various Executive capacity doing PR jobs in both public and private sector funded programs during the past decades.
