In its continuous efforts to improve the Honiara City through the Office of the City Clerk has warned a Chinese businessman to demolish an old rusty looking house at Town ground immediately.
Mr Sore received the report on Facebook by one of his friends and replied promptly to the call.
The building is built at Town Ground next to YWCA hostel for what the concerned resident claims to be for workers who are engaged by the Chinese.
In his response, the City Clerk advised the owner warned the Chinese owner.
“Be warned that whoever the Chinese who is housing his workers in this cheap line and sub-standard housing be strongly warned that you pull down this building within the next 14 days.
He said failure to do so within the next 14 days will see HCC removing the building itself.
“…, otherwise, the building will be demolished by HCC Authorities at the end of 14 Days’ Notice.
This paper was told the HCC is currently doing a clean-up around Honiara City, targeting illegal activities.
