Choiseul province U16 squad heads to Honiara ahead of competition
CHOISEUL Province’s Kukuvojo U16 squad is now on its way to Honiara for the Youth Solomon Cup which is set to kick off from 26th June -10th July.
According to a report reaching Star Sports this week, the young lads departs the provincial capital, Taro on-board MV Ortega, Tuesday.
Following this week’s Solomon Cup U16 pool draws, Choiseul was drawn in Group A. Other provincial teams in Group A include Guadalcanal, Temotu, Makira- Ulawa and Renbel.
Kukuvojo is armed with 20 players and anticipated to soar high in this year’s U16 championship.
Most players of Kukuvojo are High School students selected at various schools in Choiseul.
Former Solomon Islands National Under-20 Defender, Holland Silekesa will be assisting the Kukuvojo’s Head Coach, Cliff Sasau in the competition.
