PUBLIC Servants who have chosen not get vaccinated no longer have access to their work stations as of Monday.
This was revealed by Prime Minister (PM) Manasseh Sogavare yesterday during his nationwide address.
However, PM Sogavare still appeals to all public servants as well as the country citizens to come forward and get their vaccine.
“I still call and hope that these public servants will reconsider their position and receive their Covid-19 vaccination that most public servants were taken,” he said.
He added the government will respect their decision to remain unvaccinated and then they will be put on half pay with no benefits from today (yesterday) till the end of January 2022.
“If they get vaccinated between today (yesterday) and end of January 2022 they will return to their work force, and if they remain unvaccinated by the end of January 2022, they will self-terminate their employment with the public service,” Sogavare said.
PM Sogavare appeals to the public not to be mislead by false information about the vaccine.
