MALAITA Provincial Government (MPG) executive on Monday passed a resolution calling on all Malaitans to seek God’s intervention through ‘fast and prayer’ for the province in this current pandemic.
The MPG executive on Monday also passed a $1.9M budget to support COVID-19 fight in the province.
Premier Daniel Suidani told Solomon Star at that special extra meeting, the MARA executive passed this resolution for communities and villages to have two days of ‘fast and pray’ in this current challenging time.
The two days are; Sundays and Wednesdays each week.
The premier has also discouraged Malaitans from congregating in big numbers to avoid the spread of the virus from person to person.
He further encouraged Malaitans to adhere to strict Covid-19 safety rules.
