ABOUT 400 passengers are expected to travel to Western Province this morning on board MV Fair Glory.
This is the first approved repatriation trip for the Western Province after many people from the province were left stranded in Honiara for over two months since the lockdown.
According to Fairwest Shipping Company some 398 passengers including adults and children have been confirmed for the trip.
According to Moffat Maeta, a member of the repatriation committee his team has registered a total 251 passengers as of Thursday.
However, he said they are expecting the number of the passengers to double.
Maeta said consultation has been progressing well with the Western Province Disaster Operation Committee (PDOC) and the Western Province Government (WPG.
Passengers will drop at only three ports namely Seghe, Noro and Gizo.
These identified ports have been approved because they have health facilities.
