THE Rotary Club of Honiara has cancelled the Annual Easter Fun Run for this year.
In a statement yesterday, the Rotary Club of Honiara said this is due to the emergency health regulations currently in place.
The fun run is normally held on Easter Monday of each year and thousands of runners enjoy the 5k/m run up cemetery hill, along the top Kola Ridge road and back down via Kukum Highway.
All monies raised goes to the Rotary charities, including donations in kind, sending sick babies and children to Australia and New Zealand for life saving operations (ROMAC program) Rotary against Malaria (clean village program) and many other initiatives to improve the lives of Solomon Islanders.
Rotary Club of Honiara hopes to be able to resume this community activity at Easter 2023.
