A TEAM of experts from Australia are currently in the country for the installation of the CT Scan machines.
Minister of Health and Medical Services Dr Togamana said the installation of the CT Scan machines and all its accessories, software and hardware is underway at the National Referral Hospital.
“Team of experts from Australia are in country leading the installation process with support of our very own local Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) professionals.
“Once these final tasks are completed as per timeline in place, the CT Scan services should go live May next month,” Dr Togamana said.
The minister confirmed this during this national address on the COVID-19 situation in the country on Tuesday this week.
Dr Togamana also announced that the COVID-19 vaccination roll out in Honiara and few other provinces are currently on hold due to the bad weather currently experienced in the country.
“The vaccination rollout will recommence once the weather improves,” he said.
