THE Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in Malaita Province now has a new Provincial Police Commander (PPC), Superintendent Lesley Kili.
Mr Kili resumed his duty as the new Malaita PPC as of Sunday last week replacing acting PPC Charles Edward Koto.
Mr Kili confirmed his resumption of duty to Solomon Star Auki yesterday.
He said he is happy to return to his home province to serve the people in maintaining law and order.
The new PPC vows to work together with communities, chiefs, church leaders, youth leaders, and women leaders in the province.
“It is the duty of all citizens to maintain law and order for a greater good of all,” Mr Kili said.
Therefore, he said it is important for police and communities to keep a good working relationship in trying to maintain law and order in Malaita Province.
Mr Kili received his appointment on Friday 7 January 2022 to head RSIPF in Malaita Province taking over responsibility from Mr Koto who has headed the office since November 2021.
