THE COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 5-11 will arrive this month.
It will arrive at the right time when the primary schools resumed on 13th June.
Secretary to Prime Minister Dr Jimmie Rodgers confirmed this statement during the radio talk back show on Sunday.
“Primary schools will reopen at the same time when the vaccine for 5 years old to 11 years old will arrive in the country.
“When the primary schools open, we will have the vaccine for the 5-11 years old so they can get vaccinated,” he said.
He added that children that haven’t been vaccinated can also attend schools.
The statement from the Ministry of Education and Human Resources (MEHRD) in their education program last week said if children decide not to get the vaccines, they will fill in a consent form.
The consent form will be made available to parents who wished their children not get the vaccine.
