THE COURTS in the country will be going on Christmas Vacation starting tomorrow.
According to notice of the Court Vacation the High Court will resume normal duties again on 16 January 2023.
The High Court registry services will however continue to be open to the public but only for two hours.
This is from 9am to 10am in the mornings and again 1pm to 2pm in the afternoons except for the weekends and public holidays.
Sir Albert had also directed a similar direction be applied to the Honiara Magistrate’s Court and the Magistrate’s Courts in the provinces.
However, during previous festive seasons, the Honiara Magistrate’s Court usually opens to hear urgent matters.
The Honiara Magistrate’s Court is yet to confirm their schedule for this festive season.
