SOUTHEAST Vella Constituency Member of Parliament Honourable Fredrick Kologeta has promised to donate over $1million to his constituents.
Vella Development Cooperation (VDC) chairman has informed constituents that the funding will be given to constituents to enable them to create income generating activities to sustain themselves and their families.
The chairman said the funding will be allocated to both voters and no-voters of Mr Kologeta.
Since coming into power, Mr Kologeta has focused on long term development projects for his constituency, some of them include building of clinics, improving Barakoma Airstrip, establishing a new police station at Vonunu, a crushing mill and the VDC.
In a meeting with constituents on Sunday 29th January 2023, the VDC chairman said the money will be distributed to each ward and villages under Southeast Vella.
The allocation is as follows; Supato Village will receive $300,000 – Varese Village $300,000 – Maravari $500,000 – Gizo Community $100,000 – West Gizo $100,000.
The chairman said other villages and wards in South Vella will also have their own allocation.
He said this money will be shared to villages and wards which will then distribute to communities, zones, families and individuals.
He said this was the MP’s way of fulfilling his promise to his people during his campaign.
