BOSNIAN professional football club, FK Velež Mostar has issued the official statement, confirming Solomon Islands young striker Raphael Lea’i inclusion with the club.
The statement confirmed that Lea’i has penned a one and a half year deal with the Bosnian and Herzegovina’s top flight professional football club.
“Football club Velež Mostar informs all its members, fans and friends of the club that Raphael Ohanua Lea’i Jr. and officially became a new player of our Club”.
“In the presence of the director of the Velež Football Club Sanjin Alagić, on Friday in the official premises of the Club, and after a successful trial in which he met the criteria of Velež’s professional staff, a contract was signed that will bind this nineteen-year-old naval player from the Solomon Islands to the Born until 31 in May 2024, with the possibility of extending the contract for another year,” according to the official statement from FK Velež Mostar.
The Solomon Islands football community congratulated Rafa on his signing with FK Velez Mostar.
Henderson Eels Football Club acknowledged everyone who worked together to make the move to Europe a success.
“Its official, Rafa signed one and a half year deal with FK Velez Mostar.
“Congratulations Rafa and thank you David Houpere, Hereni Hauporokeni and the rest who help Rafa achieve his dream,” Henderson Eels Football Club owner, Hudson Wakio posted on his personal Facebook account.
FK Velež Mostar is widely believed to be the biggest club in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
They are currently sitting at the 6th spot with 24 points in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2022-2023 Season and European football.
