MEMBER of Parliament for West Kwaio Constituency in Malaita Province, Claudius Tei’ifi, continues to receive praise from his constituents for fulfilling his election campaign promises.
West Kwaio constituent, Charles Suafimae, told Solomon Star yesterday that the people of West Kwaio are pleased with MP Tei’ifi for implementing what he promised his constituents during his election campaign.
Mr Suafimae said the MP has appointed board members to deliver his election campaign promises, something they have never seen before.
“My people of West Kwaio Constituency continue to praise Hon Tei’ifi and his board members for actioning all the campaign promises.
“The board members include Bobby Siarani (Constituency Development Officer), David Nguiburi (Constituency Project Officer), Martin Telelou (Accountant) and Walter Maesugia (Advisor). This board is working closely with Hon Tei’ifi in fulfilling his election promises and this has drawn great respect from the people of West Kwaio Constituency,” Mr Suafimae added.
“Some of these promises fulfilled included the paying of school fees for West Kwaio students at the Solomon Island National University (SINU), University of South Pacific (USP) and other educational institutions.
“Hon Tei’ifi does not only assist students with their school fess but is funding other development projects in West Kwaio,” Mr Suafimae further added.
Mr Suafimae said MP Tei’ifi has shown great leadership so far despite having served only for short time now.
He said no previous West Kwaio MP has done what MP Tei’ifi is doing for his constituents.
MP Tei’ifi was elected in a bye-election last September following the passing of the former MP, Titus Fika.
He is a member of the United Party and has joined the Opposition Group upon his election.
