THREE on three basketball has completed their first competition for this year at the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sports (SINIS) yesterday.
It was a one day competition which includes nine teams, five men’s teams and four women’s teams.
Legend Team won the men’s competition and Nice Ballers won the women’s category.
“Congratulations to Legend team for scooping the first prize in the men’s category and Nice Ballers in the women’s category.
“Thank you all participating teams, coaches, referees, volunteers, supporters and SINIS staffs for working together to host the tournament.
“Let’s keep the ball bouncing,” event organizer Golden Kiloko said.
The 3×3 basketball challenge tournament is organized by Passion Events on behalf of Solomon Islands Basketball Federation.
Passion Events is a private sports event group which is endorsed by Solomon Islands Basketball Federation to promote and organize 3×3 basketball events in Honiara and the provinces.
The organizing of the tournament is part of the Honiara Games.
Honiara City will be organizing competitions for the nine sports that will be played in the upcoming Solomon Games at the end of the month.
The idea behind is to help select athletes to represent Team Honiara for the 2023 Solomon Games.
