THE 2023 President’s Cup futsal tournament which was initially proposed to kick off last week has been rescheduled for March 13th.
The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) competition department confirmed the duration of the tournament to start at March 13th and end at March 17th at the Friendship Hall.
This was agreed upon in a board meeting with the competitions department.
“The President’s Cup futsal tournament initially proposed to start today has been rescheduled for Monday 13th March to Friday 17th March while the league proper starts on Saturday 25th March 2023 at the Friendship Hall.
“This is agreed upon in a board meeting with the competitions department on Friday last week. Meanwhile, the registration closing date is extended to Friday 3rd March 2023,” a statement from SIFF confirmed.
It is the inaugural edition of the President’s Futsal Cup which will give futsal players the opportunity to compete against each other.
This will also be the first senior futsal competition on SIFF’s calendar for this year.
