HONIARA City Council (HCC) Clerk, Justus Denni, has welcomed onboard the Coast Watchers Security & Investigation Services and the West Gate Security Services upon winning the bid to provide security and public order services at Central Market and Kukum Market.
Speaking during the signing ceremony on Thursday, Mr Denni thanked the contractors for putting their priority interest into supporting HCC to secure its market facilities.
“On behalf of the Honiara City Council, I would like to welcome the contractors for putting their priority efforts and interests in biding to provide security and public order services over market properties.”
Mr Denni highlighted that evaluating the bids was not easy but thanked his hardworking HCC Technical Officers for finalising all the evaluation on the bids and coming with the winning candidates.
He said HCC was pleased with the contractors who will be providing security and public order services at the Central Market and Kukum Market.
In response to the HCC Administration Services approval, the Coast Watchers Security & Investigation Services Director, Huddy Fiuramo, thanked HCC Lord Mayor, City Clerk and the administrators for their hard work in ensuring all paperwork was done properly and also for putting their trust in the two successful bidder firms to provide quality security and manage public order services at the Kukum Market and Central Market facilities.
“I am very happy and grateful that the HCC has put its trust in our security firms to provide security services at its properties,” the Coast Watchers Security & Investigation Services Director said.
The West Gate Security Services Manager, Selwyn Akao, in turn, highlighted that taking up the responsibility to manage public order in terms of providing security services is not an easy thing.
“We must work hand in hand with the Honiara City Council to ensure liberty prevails as a result of our diligent efforts as we prepare the city ready for the Pacific Games in November, 2023,” Mr Akao added.
