THREE athletics athletes, Sharon Firisua, Rosifelo Siosi and Diana Matekali are gearing up preparations for a cross country race that will be held in Australia in two weeks time.
Last week the trio joined Glenhuntly athletics club for a cross country race as a warmup towards the main event.
Firisua finished second recording her seasonal best.
Matekali finished fifth in the women’s category and Rosifelo finished fifth in the men’s category.
Both Matekali and Rosifelo received a voucher of AUD$50 for their achievements.
Their participation for the cross-country race is part of their preparations for the Pacific Games 2023 in November in Honiara.
