Mrs Pauline Boseto McNeil has sworn in at the Government House to formalise her re-appointment to lead the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, MHMS for another term.
Mrs. Pauline McNeil took her Oaths and Allegiance in the presence of the Governor General Sir David Vunagi at the Government House today, 05th April 2023.
Witnessing the occasion were some of the members of the Ministry of Health’s Senior Executive Management (SEM) including the WHO Representative to Solomon Islands Dr. Howard Sobel.
With the reappointment, Mrs. Pauline McNeil will now serve the Ministry of Health as the Permanent Secretary for a 2nd term since taking up the role initially in 2019.
Prior to 2019, she was the head of UNFPA in Solomon Islands Field Office, for a period of 11 years and before that she served the Solomon Islands Government for 14, six (6) years with the Ministry of National Development Planning and 8 years with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
Mrs. Pauline McNeil was a Fulbright scholar and recipient and has a Master of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences and Policy from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, a Graduate Diploma in Public Health Nutrition and Demography from the University of Canberra and a Bachelors Education degree in Community Health and Nutrition from the University of South Australia.
Ms McNeil pledged to serve the Government to the best of her ability.
