SOLOMON Warriors FC’s young forward, Norman Winford has been listed amongst the eight football players to watch during the upcoming Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League.
The 20 year old graduated from the Solomon Warriors Academy team to the senior side and has made an immediate impact.
He has speed, silky skills and can beat opponents one on one and uses both feet to score goals.
“One to watch not just for this year’s tournament but for many more to come, is Solomon Warriors’ 20-year-old forward, Norman Winford.
“An Academy team graduate, Winford combines his pace and quick feet to devastating effect and is equally adept at finding the net with either foot,” according to OFC Media when confirming Winford amongst the top eight players.
Winford was named amongst players like Cam Howieson of Auckland City FC, Ati Kepo of Hekari United, Samuela Drudru of Suva FC, Shene Welepane of AS Tiga, Vito Laloata of Lupe Ole Soaga, Heimano Donovan Bourebare of AS Pirae and Timothy Loic Messeck Boulet of Ifira Black Bird FC.
Warriors will kick off their OFC Champions League against Auckland City of New Zealand on Sunday.
