FOOTBALL action returns to Lawson Tama today kicking off Match week three of the 2023 Telekom Super League (TSL) season.
The six matches schedule for the weekends has been reduced to five since Solomon Warriors FC are out for the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) campaign in Vanuatu.
The first three matches will kick off today with two strong contenders Henderson Eels and Waneagu United FC go head to head at 12pm.
Waneagu United has a chance of going top of the TSL table if they win or end with a draw while Eels who are currently sitting at the fifth spot has a chance of sitting in the top four if they register their second three points.
Laugu United will take on SOSA FC at 2pm for the day’s second match followed by former TSL champions Central Coast FC and FC Juniper at 4pm.
SOSA currently sits at the top of the table and could well maintain the top spot should they finish off with another impressive win.
Laugu is expected to step up against the debutants, aiming for a win after failing to register a three points in their first two matches.
Central Coast, currently on third place also has a high probability to move up to the second spot or better the top spot if they win against FC Juniper.
Any movements on the TSL table for Coast will also depend on the outcome of the first two matches.
The first match scheduled for 12pm tomorrow between last season’s champions Solomon Warriors and runner-up KOSSA FC is postponed due to Solomon Warriors participation in the OFC champion’s league.
Matches will kick off at 2pm between Real Kakamora and Honiara City before Marist FC and Southern United wrap up Match Week three at 4pm.
