KOLOALE FC ended their OFC Champions League campaign following their final match in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG) yesterday.
Koloale concluded their campaign with their second defeat of the tournament, a 4-1 defeat to the tournament’s favourites AS Academy Féminine of New Caledonia.
Koloale did made a good start, breaking the deadlock in the 38th minute from a stunning individual goal from Captain Ileen Pegi.
Pegi received the ball down the left and played a couple of one two passes before unleashing a right footed shot from just outside the 18-yard box into the left-hand corner of the net to give Koloale the lead.
AS Academy Féminine was quick to respond, levelling the score two minutes later by Christelle Wahnawe to make it 1-1 at the half time break.
They scored three more goals in the second half, a double by Alice Wenessia and a lone goal by Louise Luepak.
The win confirmed AS Academy Féminine as the champions of the OFC Champions League campaign.
