THE Malaita Province Ward 29 Development Committee in Central Kwara’ae Constituency has delivered small projects to communities as part of its mandate to deliver services to the people in the ward.
A total of 6 local communities in the ward have reportedly received support last week from the Ward 29 Grant under 2023 Budget.
The communities were Arabala, Busuanomola, Ngelamae, Daudau, Olwala SSEC Community and Faisukio.
A statement from the Ward 29 Development Committee said it is important for the government to continue its responsibility to address the needs of its people.
“Give back what belongs to the people. Despite the little money the government may have, the project needs of the people must be funded and met.”
“Today the Ward 29 Chairman, Mr Nathaniel Sara and Treasurer, Mrs Nester Totoramo handed over the project materials today.
“The project recipients are Arabala, Busuanomola, Ngelamae, Daudau, Olwala SSEC community and Faisukui and they benefit from the Ward 29 Grant funding.”
With the announcement of the project recipients, the Ward 29 Development Committee also assured other communities in the ward that it will continue to deliver its support to more communities once the next quarter of Grant is ready.
The Provincial Government normally facilitates the Ward Grant on quarterly basis, depending on acquittal reports from each respective Ward committee.
