THE Assemblies of God (AOG) Solomon Islands National Women’s Ministry Conference was successfully conducted in Honiara last week with inspiring messages to participants to be a Biblical Esther.
The conference which commenced on July 23 and concluded on July 27 brought together women groups from four AOG Solomon Islands regions – Malaita Province, Western Province, North East Guadalcanal and Honiara Central, a statement from the AOG National Women’s Ministry Secretarial Desk said.
The theme of the conference was “Be a woman to accelerate the season of Harvest” and is based on Esther 4:14.
The Director of the Women Division in the Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs (MWYCFA), Vaela Devesi was the guest of honour and she opened the conference alongside the AOG Solomon Islands National Executive Representative, Reverend Eric Josia, Central Superintendent and Rev Ross Masika in the presence of invited guests.
A marching parade was conducted from Rove Police Club to Christian Life Centre (CLC) Church at Rifle Range in Tandai where the conference was convened.
The guest speaker at the conference was Pastor Ruth Nabriswalu from New Caledonia. She was accompanied to attend the conference by fellow New Caledonian, Pastor Catherine Noel.
“AOG More than 1000 women attended the conference and they were inspired and empowered though out the sessions and night rallies.
“And their take home from this event is be like Esther for your home families, children, village, community and church. In everything be effective in the things of God for the Kingdom building,” the statement said.
