SOLOMON Islands national U23 men’s football team, Solympics will meet Fiji in the semi finals of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Olympic Qualifiers.
The match is set for 6pm tomorrow, September 6th at the Go Media Stadium, Mt Smart.
Solympics confirmed the top spot of group B and earned their semi final spot following their undefeated run throughout the group stage in Auckland, New Zealand.
Three consecutive group match wins is certainly a morale booster for the Solympics team and they are looking forward to maintaining that winning streak.
Coach Eddie Marahare understands that going up against Fiji will not be easy, however remains confident the team is prepared to put in all efforts for a positive.
Fiji on the other hand has lost only one match and that was against hosts New Zealand in their opening group match.
They defeated a determined PNG U23 side to secure their semi final spot.
The first semi final match between host New Zealand and Vanuatu will kick off at 2pm tomorrow.
