THE National Government through the National Hosting Authority (NHA) handed over 20 buses to 11 institutions and agencies this week.
Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele was guest of honour at the handing over ceremony.
The buses were donated by the Government of India to support the Pacific Games last year.
A statement from the Government Communications Unit said the Pacific Games 2023 Legacy Committee made the allocations as follows:
Five buses to MID, three buses to Honiara City Council, three buses to SI National University, two buses to the National Sports Council (NSC), one bus to Guadalcanal Province, one bus to the National Referral Hospital, one to the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force, one to the Correctional Services of SI, one to the Customs Division, one to Saint Nicholas School and one to King George VI School.
