ONE More Shot Photography has again kicked off a campaign in Honiara with the noble aim of raising finances to enable 19-year-old Joseph Anisi to travel overseas for a life-saving surgery.
Anisi, a vibrant young soul who is battling severe heart issues, urgently requires surgery that cannot be performed at the National Referral Hospital.
The photo campaign, which started on Monday at the Dreamcast Theatre Art Hub, continued this week at the Honiara City Council precinct where dedicated photographers of One More Shot Photography took photos of individuals and groups who donated towards the sending of Anisi overseas for heart surgery.
For this photography campaign, One More Shot Foundation Photography collaborated with Dreamcast Theatre to spearhead the campaign.
According to Juanita Aitorea from OMS, the campaign runs through the week till Friday.
As part of the campaign, OMS team on are stationed at the Dreamcast Theatre Art Hub entrance and at the Honiara City Council area.
She said single photos cost only $10, while a set of six photos costs $50 dollars.
‘’Through the lens of our cameras, the talented photographers at One More Shot Photography aim to not only raise funds but also raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals like Joseph in accessing critical healthcare services.
‘’We just doing volunteer on the campaign all donation will give young Anisi a second chance to save life,” Ms Aitorea said.
Ms Aitorea said in the lead up to the campaign, they also opened a mic at Dreamcast Theatre Arthub for music entertainment and food sale appeals to those who were free to be part of the campaign to save Anisi.
She said the One More Shot photograph foundation team, with its one-week street campaign, appeals to the general public, business companies, government offices, Non-Government Organizations to come forward and donate any amount of money towards this cause in exchange for photoshoots.
