Dear Editor – As a student studying sociology and social work, we are aimed to promote people’s rights and an access to justice.
There are concerns in regarding our justice system that are found to said being unappropriated and unavailable to all people.
Firstly, lawyers are too expensive. People require lawyers to ensure they have their rights to be held, in doing so people have to spend more money to defend their rights.
This is very expensive and it is very difficult for people with lower income.
This means that the law is not available to everybody. In addition, most people in our country are uneducated and this makes it difficult for them when attending courts.
They may uncomfortable with the language used or they don’t understand the procedures in the court. this means that the legal services are not available to every body.
We all people should knew that our law should be responsive and understood by all people.
The courts should be fair and effective and our legal services should be appropriate and available for all citizens of the country.
