MEMBER of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) for South Kolombangara has recommended the need to get technical experts from China to provide support on agriculture and forestry.
Jenty Isaac the Western Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Forestry highlighted this on Thursday in his contribution to the Sine Die Motion.
He said, with the province finalising its sister relationship with the Fujian Province of China, its important to get experts from this province into the province to support the province.
He said, the idea of sending local officers to China for training should be discouraged.
“We need to get technical experts from China into the province to provide technical advice in the areas of forestry, agriculture and other sectors,” he said.
He said, there is a potential to develop the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector in the province.
