SOLOMON Host Event, the host for the Miss Pacific Island Pageant (MPIP) 2025, has been working tirelessly straight after the Miss Solomon Islands Pageant in August last year to do the preparatory work for the event and is dedicated to ensuring its successful delivery.
The other seven Pacific queens with their officials will arrive in Honiara on Thursday 30 January and Friday 31 January.
Miss Solomon Islands Pageant Director and MPIP Board Member Joyce Konofilia, in a Press Conference last Friday said in the lead up to the main MPIP events on Thursday 6 to Saturday 8 February, visits will be made to the Prime Minister, National Referral Hospital (NRH), SINU and the Graceland Tourist Site.
The Yacht Club will be hosting the MPIP contestants on Tuesday 4, the MPIP Board will meet on Tuesday 5 at the Heritage Park Hotel.
Ms Konofilia highlighted that because they have been to many MPIPs, they seen the gaps and a lot of things that they need improvement and Solomon Host is really dedicating its time planning to ensure that the public gets to interact with the MPIP contestants.
“We want to make our people feel that they own the event, not just a pass-by event, making our people not really experiencing the spirit of MPIP.
“Therefore, we have organised a lot of different events from east Honiara to West Honiara as far as Kakabona, where the girls will go down to the community level to interact with our local people,” Ms Konofilia said.
Solomon Host is partnering with the National Government to deliver the MPIP 2025.
“We feel very honoured to be given this huge responsibility, as a small group to carry out such big event on behalf of the Government and the people of Solomon Islands,” Ms Konofilia said.
