Australia has announced that it is offering professional development training to Australia Awards Alumni.
Applications are now open for Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) training on the 27th and 28th of February 2025 in Honiara
This GESI training aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of key concepts and frameworks to promote equality such as Gender Equity vs Equality, intersectionality, and change dynamics.
This training is available to all Australia Awards Alumni, and province-based alumni are encouraged to apply. Australia Awards Solomon Islands will provide support for successful province-based applicants to travel to Honiara
Australia Awards alumni are those who have successfully completed studies in Australia or the Pacific region through an Australia Award, or Australia Awards Pacific Scholarship.
These also include those who have studied through an ACIAR, or formerly known Australia Leadership Award, Australia Regional Development Scholarship, or Australian Aid Scholarship.
