SOLTUNA Limited on Friday concluded its five-month-long promotional campaign with the announcement of the three lucky winners who walked away with the Mega Prize giveaway worth $100,000.
The grand prize draw, held in front of the ITA Head Office in Point Cruz, attracted a good crowd, who were all hopeful of winning one of the coveted cash prize giveaways as part of the company’s promotion of its products and the importance of purchasing local products.
The promotional campaign kicked off in August 2024 featuring monthly draws for household items.
As part of the promotional initiative, Soltuna assisted families and individuals experiencing financial pressures, particularly with school fees and other essential expenses.
“At Soltuna, we are committed to helping our community. We introduced this initiative to not only reward our loyal customers, but also to encourage people to embrace Soltuna products as an essential part of their diets,” Soltuna Marketing Manager Kenwood Harry told the gathering.
Soltuna offers a variety of tasty tuna products, which became part of the traditional diet in many homes across the country.
Mr Harry emphasised the importance of Solomon Islanders choosing the country’s very own products, stating, “with the prevalence of imported tuna products from the Asian markets, we want to remind our people and communities of the benefits of supporting local businesses that contribute positively to our economy.”
To ensure transparency and accountability during the draw, the public were invited to assist in the draw process of selecting the winners.
Each winner was contacted live during the draw, with the assigned SolTuna staff making the attempt to call them thrice to reach them.
A new draw was made after three failed attempts to speak to a winner.
The draw commenced with the third prize of $20,000, then on to the second prize of $30,000 and finally, the first prize of $50,000.
The winners expressed sheer shock and joy upon being contacted.
The three winners of the Soltuna Mega Prize giveaway were:
- First Prize: $50,000;
- Second Prize: $30,000; and
- Third Prize: $20,000.
The three winners are set to collect their prizes on Monday morning at the Soltuna Office.
In addition to the grand prize announcements, the draw attendees enjoyed free giveaways of Soltuna products and participated in various fun activities, including a dance competition and a question-and-answer session that helped foster a strong sense of community togetherness.
Mr Harry encouraged everyone to engage in future promotions, highlighting that such initiatives are a great way through which SolTuna give back to the community.
“We want to keep building these connections,” he stated, reinforcing Soltuna’s commitment to quality and local product awareness as the country local own products.
