The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) has commenced a review of its 2021-2025 Strategic Plan supported by Australia, through a workshop facilitated Dr Bob McDonald of Informa Australia.
The workshop also supported SINU to set overall goals for the future and develop a framework for their 2026-2030 Strategic Plan.
Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands, His Excellency Rod Hilton, said Australia is proud to partner with SINU.
“By investing in SINU we are investing together in the future of Solomon Islands,” High Commissioner Hilton said.
“Australia remains committed in its partnership with SINU with the shared vision to enhance collaboration in research, students and staff exchanges, curriculum development and institutional capacity building.”
SINU’s Pro Vice-Chancellor Corporate, Dr William Parairato, said that, without the support of Australia the university would not have been able to undertake this important training workshop.
“The University recognises the importance of partnerships and regards the Australian Government as an important stakeholder, especially in light of continuous support for the University,” Pro Vice-Chancellor Parairato said.
The participants at the Balanced Scorecard Training Workshop will be the focal points within their respective faculties, departments and divisions as the university starts to prepare for the review of their 2021-2025 Strategic Plan and the formulation of the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan.
