THE Malaita Outer Islands (MOI) Futsal Team received a timely boost from the MOI Constituency Office last week.
The team, made up of talented players from the constituency, have been competing in futsal leagues and tournaments in Honiara.
The support of uniforms will help strengthen their preparations for the upcoming futsal tournaments.
The MOI Futsal Team Management expressed gratitude to MOI Constituency for providing futsal uniforms, which are crucial for the team’s preparation for upcoming tournaments.
According to a post on the MOI Constituency Facebook page, this support reflects the Constituency Office’s commitment to community engagement and sports diplomacy.
The support is aimed at inspiring young athletes and emerging talents to excel in futsal to represent the MOI community.
“On Thursday, 6 March, the MOI Constituency Project Officer (CPO) handed over new uniforms to the team. The team, predominantly featuring players from Luaniua and Pelau, are eager to showcase their skills and unity on the field.
“Initiatives like this inspire our youth and young athletes to excel, both in sports and life, representing the MOI community with pride,” the Facebook post stated.
