ONE of the concerned men from Temotu province says that government must prioritize developing rural areas.
Benedict Ariki told the Solomon Star that rural people should be the first priority of the government nowadays.
“I have heard of budget debated in parliament and wonders where the budget can be spent,” Mr. Ariki said.
“Government should put more focus on developing rural areas because thats where MPs are coming from.
“In Temotu province, we lack development and government should reach us through its projects.
“Send more projects to our provinces so that rural people can feel, touch and see what government is,” Mr Ariki said.
He added land issue is not an issue as long everything is going according to the will of the land owners.
