DEAR EDITOR – There are recent stories published in the media on the ongoing abuse of children.
Such heartbreaking stories indicate that our children are no longer safe in our communities.
Children are vulnerable as they are young, physically weak and can easily be lured and abused by perpetrators.
As parents, it is our paramount duty to ensure that our children are safe.
This calls for the collaboration of all stakeholders in making sure that our children are safe and protected.
From individual to Government level we all have a responsibility to fulfill when it comes to protecting our children.
As a state party to the Convention on the Rights of the Children, all stakeholders must ensure that our children grow up in a safe environment and society.
