Dear Editor – Accommodation problem is a cancer threatening the lives of Solomon Islands’ students in Fiji.
Lack of secure home and proper space poses risks to the lives and learning of students.
Students have been brutally affected by this issue over the years, yet continuously striving to success in an insecure and inconvenient environment, just for the economic betterment of their loving nation.
Being a victim to this problem for the past three years, I could only have said, my father does not really care for me.
With very high expectations and obligations, the Government should have built safe and conducive homes where its scholars can study happily and bring back what the country needs.
Once again, as a concern scholar, I am begging my Government to seriously address this issue before it is too late.
“The future of our country lays in the hands of our suffering scholars.”
