A MAN who faces a number of criminal offences will be sentenced today at the Honiara Magistrates’ Court.
Joseph Lesimae pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly behaviour in a police station and one count of criminal trespass.
The court has also found him guilty after a trial of two counts of going armed in a public place, disorderly behaviour in a public place, using abusive words and disturbing religious assembly.
All these offences occurred on different dates and months last year at Ringi in Western Province.
Principal Magistrate Jim Seuika said, he was satisfied that the prosecution and the defence counsel have filed their sentencing submissions and mitigation to the court.
Lesimae was further remanded in custody until today for the sentencing.
Public Solicitor’s lawyer Stanley Aupai represents Lesimae while representing the Crown is Public Prosecutor Jasper Anisi.
