ABOUT 584 bags of rice were delivered to families of Sagalu ward in northwest Guadalcanal on Sunday at Visale station.
The Member of Parliament for northwest Guadalcanal constituency Hon. Bodo Dettke and his team made the delivery of bags of rice and mix goods.
Northwest Guadalcanal Solomon Star stringer John Toki said the families who received the items were very happy.
“They thanked the MP for the assistance and hope to see his promise being delivered to the constituency.”
Toki said the donations were part of the MP work to assist to the constituency.
“The MP assured the people that more assistance will be delivered. He promised to work together with all leaders and the people of the constituency.”
Toki said other communities inside Sagalu ward like Vaturanga, Paru and Guatabu will also received the same assistance.
