THE Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has been commended for its ongoing support to Solomon Islands justice sector.
The commendation was made by the Attorney General John Muria Jnr at the opening of the 2024 Legal Year on Tuesday last week.
Australia through DFAT is Solomon Islands main donor in the justice sector and its assistance is channeled through the Justice Sector Strengthening Program.
“To our donor partners who have continuously been providing much needed assistance in the delivery of Judicial and Legal services to the people of this country, I wish to mention specifically the assistance provided by the people of Australia through the Australian government (through DFAT) via the justice sector strengthening program.
“Your immense support has been significant and I thank you dearly. Your continued support to the development of the Justice sector for 2024 will be very much welcomed.
“I expressly wish to thank the team at the program for the support in the engagement of a Legislative drafter for the Legislative Drafting Division. Thank You.”
