ONE of the State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) trending as Solomon Airlines will review its fares in February 2023.
This to allow Xmas travels to be settled and un-interrupted.
Chief Executive Officer of Airlines Mr Gus Kraus told this paper in an interview that the Domestic fares are yet to be reviewed.
“Domestic fares are not as yet updated or reviewed and as I have said previously, we shall review all fares in FEB 2023 to allow Xmas travels to be settled and un-interrupted,” he said.
He said the concept of review DOM and indeed INTL is to ensure we are competitive with other neighbouring countries with same equipment and same ranges as what we fly and that will give some assurance that we have done our homework.
He said the latest update was an increase back in August 2021 and we are in the process of reviewing it.
“COVID-19 issues hit us hard and therefore we had to try and claw some fares and rates back as we were losing revenues versus costs just by flying to meet business and government obligations and the economy that relied on our cargo services.
“I am sure we are able to accommodate better promotional fares both to entice Tourism and also to give our people some choices.
“We are busy engaged with the Xmas period bookings and trying to get a firm date for the Dash 8 arrival and will update this later,” he said.
In the meantime, Solomon Airlines is also gearing up to celebrate their 60 Years of Anniversary on track on 26-27th October.
