MORE than 300 students at the Aligegeo Provincial Secondary School (APSS) near Auki, Malaita Province have graduated with certificates on Friday.
This included forms three (3), five (5), six (6) and seven (7).
The event began with a parade from the school entrance to the graduation hall.
Delivering his speech, Principal of Aligegeo Mr. Robert Lafisi said the event was important for the students.
He said students should be proud of attending the school because of its historical significance.
“This school (APSS) is a historical school so students and teachers should be proud that you have been part of it.”
He said it was good to see 300 students completing their year successfully.
The school boss took time to highlight some of the challenges being faced by the school this year.
They were;
a. The physical degradation of the physical infrastructures.
b. The behavior of the student’s sicknesses.
c. The water supply problem due to natural and mechanical effects.
d. The attitude of teachers towards their work.
e. The attitude of reporting of misconducts and so on.
During the ceremony most of the students receive their certificate.
The students will sit their exams soon.
