The Anti-Corruption Bill that will go before parliament this Friday gets its full support across the nation especially the rural populace.
Marau Bay Development Association (MBDA) is one, pledging their full support that this Bill be the way forward for the country.
MBDA Interim Chairman, Chief John Usuha’asua said this is history to this nation in putting forward such a Bill of its kind, which will restore the country in its fullest.
He said as far as being the rural populace have known, corruption has been in existence for far too long.
“We know very well that this is the only Bill that will help to sort out corrupt practices within the country.
“We pledge support for the Anti-Corruption Bill because we are the rural dwellers who are always the bottom victims to corrupt practices in this nation for so long,” he said.
Usuha’asua said Solomon Islands is known for as a Christian country but it never turned out as it is.
It is high-time this tide be turned and lets us work for the betterment of this country today and the future generation, he said.
“We the lay people of this nation, the rural populace support this Bill because we believe it is high-time to restore this nation.”
He said they’ll be very surprise if any member of parliament did not pledge support.
He said the nation will be listening with interest on the radio’s and read newspapers, to hear and see that who’s supporting and who is not.
He urged the Ministers, backbenchers, the Independent group and the Opposition Group to support the Bill.
