MALAITA Provincial Government is appealing to the public of Malaita especially at the provincial capital Auki to provide them with information which could help them recover two missing flags removed from the flag poles outside its headquarters office in Auki.
The provincial office said the flags, one in sigma of Malaita province and the other a national flag, were removed from the flag poles last week.
It said the provincial administration had issued exit marching orders to the responsible security officer on duty at the time of the incident for refusing to reveal identity of those responsible.
The provincial office said the flags were brand new and made of quality material.
The provincial management warned the public of Malaita to be alert of anyone attempting to sell such high quality flags and report any suspect either to the provincial government authorities or the nearest police station.
