Dear Editor – We are almost two months into 2014 and if reflect on what we have been through till now, we would agree that life is going from bad to worst.
We continue to experience uncontrolled goods price rise, increased school fees, lack of basic drugs in both urban and rural clinics, no more new employment opportunities, lack of funding for tertiary trainings etc.
Finding money is very difficult for the ordinary citizens and creating savings is just not possible.
The low and middle class wage earners are finding it tough each day. Salaries cannot last for few days and this makes Solomon Islanders to become very poor in the service they are providing on behalf of the government to its people.
Those in the upper brackets are not experiencing this therefore are not doing anything about it.
We now create a system where those rich get richer and those poor become poorer. Where is then the government of the people and for the people?
If the government is really for the people then it’s the people that are now suffering.
Something is really seriously wrong here.
Our leaders seem not to be caring at all.
Luxurious life is theirs.
This they will be coming around to beg you for your ballot with no Dr, in front of it will be the most wanted therefore let us show to them our sufferings by balloting them out as we are not better off from 2010 to 2014.
