ATHLETES returning from the Commonwealth Games are questioning why they are the only ones in quarantine since their arrival into the country.
The athletes arrived in Honiara on Friday last week from Birmingham, England,
However, in a recent statement, the athletes said they arrived and were told to go into quarantine while the rest of the passengers didn’t.
“We come to confusion, why we quarantined while rest of the passengers who board the same flight walk freely home,” the athletes said.
The athletes are currently in quarantine at Pacific Casino Hotel.
They said no reason was given to them by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services why they are excluded from other passengers on that same flight.
