HCAA preparing for upcoming competitions
HONIARA City Athletics Associations (HCAA) is preparing for the upcoming athletics competitions earmarked for this year.
A statement from the HCAA yesterday highlighted two competitions, the inter-secondary school, and the national athletics championship to be hosted by the Solomon Islands Athletics Federation (SIAF).
The HCAA team is back on track at Lawson Tama Stadium on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Their aim is to retain the title for this year’s national championship which is two months away.
Honiara City Athletics Association is the 2020 athletics national championship overall winner.
Last year they won 21 medals, 11 gold, 9 silver, and 1 bronze.
The president of the Honiara City Athletics associations, Nelson Kabitana calls on all affiliated and active schools and clubs to attend the associations meeting this Friday, February 19th day at Vura Leaf hut parish.
The meeting agendas is to update every one of the upcoming athletics events, association’s activities, and programs both for schools and the active affiliated clubs.
Kabitana stressed the meeting is and welcomes any former executive member of the association to attend.
The HCAA will update schools and clubs of the upcoming national inter-secondary school championship and national championship that will be facilitated and hosted by the Athletics Solomon national federation.
