MEMBERS of the Solomon Islands Athletics Federation have undergone their first ever SINIS-high performance induction processes yesterday, at the SINIS-HP centre.
The athletics athletes yesterday went through the initial stage of the high-performance athlete’s induction process.
All the selected athletes have undergone the complete process facilitated by the high-performance staff with an overview of what the institution will be offering at an advanced level.
This was facilitated by the Solomon Island National Institution of Sports (SINIS) High Performance staffs.
A statement from the SINIS said that during the induction, the athletes showed through an athlete pledge which will reflect their dedication to a higher performance system, followed by the signing of the code of conduct and anti doping.
The athletics induction process yesterday is delivered practically by the SINIS-HP staffs through certain processes.
This includes; wellbeing and lifestyle health screening, physiotherapy, introduction to nutrition in sports, familiarization of the SINIS facilities, functional testing.
Meanwhile, the SINS-HP induction program aims to complement and add value to athletes and coaches with a plan to help develop a broad range of skills, abilities and behaviours needed for success.
