ATOIFI Adventist Nursing College in East Kwaio, Malaita Province successfully staged its graduation ceremony over the weekend.
The graduation weekend program was held from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th February.
The highlight of the program was the graduation ceremony on Sunday.
Atoifi Information System Officer Harry Samuel told Solomon Star, the weekend program was a colourful one.
He said it was a low key graduation because of COVID-19 and it was done in zoom for other viewers in the country and overseas people to witness.
“The entire program is on zoom from the starting of the program till its ending on Sunday,” he said.
Parents and guardians of the graduands traveled to Atoifi to attend the graduation and witnessed their daughters and sons successfully completing their studies.
A number of guests were also present to witness the ceremony.
It was an exciting moment for all the graduands as they completed their nursing studies at one of the remarkable colleges in the country.
After the graduation ceremony parents, students, guests, and staff took their time to take photo shots as part of their memory.
Most of the nurses are expected to travel to their respective home provinces this week.
The passing out of more nurses from Atoifi would ease the need to cater for more nurses to work at various clinics and hospitals around the country.
Atoifi over the years has produced some of the top nurses in the country like other nursing institutes in the country like Helena Goldie in Western Province and Solomon Islands National University (SINU) in Honiara.
Atoifi Nursing College is a branch nurse college for Pacific Adventist University (PAU) in Papua New Genuine (PNG).
All courses are accredited to the PAU medical and health institute.
New intakes for Atoifi Adventist College Nursing has already been released.
