AGRICULTURE officers working in Auki have moved to a new office block after their office was burn to the ground last week.
Chief agriculture officer in Auki John Faleka said the move was to ensure officers continue to carry out their work while waiting for a new office building.
“There were already plans to erect a new building when suddenly; our old and oldest standing building was burnt.
“But when the new building will be built depends on the national government’s passage of the budget.”
He informed farmers in Malaita that the new office they are temporarily operating in is located near the ANZ office in one of Auki’s newest buildings.
